HNP Gives Kiberans A Guide to Their Future in Global Coding Event

More than thirty students took a small step toward their future by participating in the global "Hour of Code" campaign last week, December 8-14.  The HNP-Kibera Town Centre Cyber Café opened its doors for free to the Kibera community for several sessions of this campaign. 

HNP's Web Design Course Helps Kiberans Promote Their Businesses

For the past month, HNP has been holding web design classes, taught by teachers from Tunapanda Institute.  In between class sessions, which are twice a week for two hours, students can visit the Town Centre to use one hour daily free internet to practice what they've learned. 

Somo Project Starts Its Entrepreneurial Accelerator at HNP

HNP’s training rooms have been busy this fall.  Another HNP collaborator, the Somo Project, is also offering entrepreneurial training to Kiberans at the Town Centre, but this training is very intense and targeted. First Somo identified community members with the vision, skills, self-belief, and focus to build meaningful social enterprise in important focus areas: health, education and the environment.
