David is the CEO of Redhorse Constructors. He co-founded Human Needs project with Connie Nielsen in June 2010 to bring a new level of quality water and sanitation services to Kibera slum, Kenya, via a state-of-the-art facility built with local labor forces at the highest construction standards.

A UC Berkeley alum, David is a board member of the College of Natural Resources at his alma mater and is involved in several green energy initiatives. He founded Redhorse Constructors twenty-five years ago in Northern California. Redhorse Constructors employs a company of multi-talented individuals dedicated to the building profession. As a firm, Redhorse attributes its success in the industry to open communication, proactive construction management, mentorship of co-workers and efficiency on the construction site. Since its formation, Redhorse has grown and matured into an exceptional special services builder.

As a team, the firm’s motivation and passion in building comes from finding solutions to the challenges that occur when building unique and complex structures. As a result, Redhorse has formed great relationships with many of the leading design professionals in the Bay Area and beyond. David and his company strive to provide practical solutions to complicated issues involving all areas of the project such as difficult site conditions, integration of green building technologies, sophisticated mechanical and energy systems, and time/budget constraints.
